Default Factory Reset - vista

I am upgrading to a Mac and am selling my old Vista laptop. I wondered how I could get it in the state it was in when i first bought it. e.g. When they boot it up it will be the same as when I first booted it up and all my documents and personal information will be deleted. I thought i should use system restore but i don't thick that is appropriate for what i want to do

thanks!

put in the windows disk and re-install the operating system, also you cant upgrade from windows to mac that's known as a downgrade

I have had enough off Windows! Especially Vista. I didn't get the disc with Vista. As bought the laptop with vista on and there were no disks supplied. Could i do it any other ways?
