What is your favorite operating system of Windows out of all the other ones you could've had?

Personally my favorite one would have to be Windows 7, I just like how professional it looks and how fast it is. They made a big step up when they went from vista to Windows 7. I mean it was a night and day difference went they release it.

    What do you guys think?

Hard to say, It would be all the major releases like 95, XP, Vista.

Windows 7 was only successful cos of Vista really. Vista was released at a bad time, its demanding requirements brought most computers to a crawl. But when 7 came out, the Hardware has caught up as 7 has literally the same requirements as Vista so it "felt faster" for most people. Imo its just Vista rebranded with a few cool touches like Aero Snap.

Pretty much all new Windows releases are game changing. Vista was alot cooler compared to XP minus the demanding aspects. 7 was just Vista with some added aspects. XP was a big jump from 98/2000. 95 was a big jump from 3.1. Now Windows 8 looks different too.

    I liked 98,
    i like XP,
    i disliked vista
    i like W7
My fav has to be XP pro probably cos i had it the longest, did all i asked of it with a few hitches i must admit, but its fast being overtaken byW7 in my view. i have it on my lappy and will be installing W7 on my new build soon,
so soon XPpro like 98, will be a distant memory looked back at through rose tinted glasses no doubt
Heard that they are already developing Windows 8

Windows XP is where it all started for me, and Linux is where it will end.

I like Macs a lot, but they're horrible for gaming. Pretty much the only reason I haven't switched permanently to Windows is the lack of viruses that attack Macs. So now I use Mac for serious things, and then Linux for gaming.

Haha could tell by your name. I just can't switch to Linux fully due to that it can't run games properly. For a general user, I guess Linux is good stuff.

Me its XP Pro I have used all other versions Windows even 3.11 and that was a long time ago Vista was released too soon laptops were still geared for XP to me thats why it did not do well SP2 really helped that OS out a lot. Now 7 is the out-growth of Vista not much difference between it and Vista with SP2. Windows 8 may be the next biggy for Microsoft, thats when I will upgrade

I think the biggest jump was 3.11 the move from DOS to a GUI was unreal them Win95 another huge step but for me XP pro I've not tried 7 yet that's to be done in the near future when I've upgraded the old PC.

The best ever? Windows 2000 Pro. It was unbreakable.. Still use it for critical audio playback devices... Give it some more modern tech to run on and it just keeps going..

However, the rest of the time? Gotta be Windows 7... Makes my life easy, doesn't go wrong (very often), looks nice, and is fast!

Firstly , NICE THREAD Windows XP is the most basic and import ant one , is the one I learned every single trick . Windows Vista is the worst one I have ever seen , I disliked the way it starts , the way it loads different files and when you start a game , its graphic changes completely , and its FPS ( Frames per second ) go very LOW ! Windows Seven , i think it's the one who really changed the way of (having a good pc) , because it's starts fast , it loads programs fast , the Graphic is perfect , and every single virus game can't be loaded . iTMAN .
