| I just got a new comp with Vista. I know the issues with Vista and, generally speaking, I'm ok with that. However, I have back up discs from my XP system that my new system is NOT reading. This means over 5000 mp3s as well as all my digital pics and Word documents. When I put the discs in the drive, the drive/system stalls and its as if it's reading a broken record. It occassionally crashes my comp. Anyone have any suggestions or has seen this before? Is there a way to easily network my two towers together so I don't have to worry about discs? (Yes, regular program discs work perfectly) |

| You could just use a crossover cable in the network ports on both PC's. That doesn't seem to be your main problem though. It's important to find out why the disks are crashing your PC, this shouldn't be happening. Is it only disks which you create on XP that cause problems or is it all disks. If it is all disks check for updates for your Vista machine. |
