Help needed for a friend who had her computer set up by a friend of hers, to make the font size large, as she is partially blind. The problem is its much to big and only gets a small amount of info per page. I have gone into the display settings she has it set at 96 DPI and in the Appearance settings the font size is on Normal did the apply button etc but the letter size is still HUGE, I'm at a loss of how to help her reduce the size of the font for her and wondered if anyone out there has any other ideas please

Hi we did all that yesterday, on her Display-Settings it says 96DPI and the appearance is set to font size (Normal) but it is not. can she set the default settings to get it back to small lettersetc or re set the computer to a previous time, ie when the letters were all smaller?

There are only so many settings, it must be one of them.

Is it only fonts or are icons and everything else bigger than normal?

Can you post a screenshot or two? That would help.

She says icons are OK it is just when she does Google or getting into her emails all the writing on the screen is huge and keeps dissapearing off of the page, sorry to be so vague, she is 70 and has just been given her first computer ever, who ever did these settings for her, were only trying to be helpfull not knowing the problem they have caused

Hello Moggy. Please try and get a screen shot of the computer in question as it will make our task very much simpler. Preferably, please post two or more screen shots; one online and other of the desktop.

By the way, have you tried changing the screen resolution? If yes, what results did it yield?
