Hey, sorry im new here and this might be a real easy question.

Is there anyway possible by getting my computer back to when it was when its new.

I got all my software and doscuments backed on external HDD and i got my XP disc if that is needed.

Thanks The Computer Forum.

Is the XP disk either a full version an OEM version or a Recovery disk?
For OEM it might say "For re-installation of XP on a Dell (example) PC only"

As far as I'm aware you can't do a complete reinstall using a recovery disk, all that will do is repair corrupt system files
Get onto to Mesh for an OEM copy of XP for your pc.
Either that or get a full copy of XP.

Buying a brand new copy of XP from say Staples will do the trick, you will have to reinstall any drivers that XP doesn't pick up on which won't be many.

You can always try to get a full version from mesh but not knowing the legalities I don't know if they're obliged personally I think a full version should be shipped with every PC.
If you need to buy a version e buyer sell OEM versions at about £50 they are full versions without the packaging and instructions stickers or support and the license only covers the first PC they go on. Ive used them for ages with no trouble.

I emailed customer service and there so thick, i asked for a OEM version as they should of sent one with eveyr PC and they said it would cost £70 excluding postage for a revocery disc. Even though i asked for a OEM disc. I think they should read there emails properly.

Also i dont think they will send me a OEM Disc either.

While browsing the recovery dic though the first option is

Install Windows XP

I clicked that and it looked as if it would od a clean install - it said "Note this may remove all documents off this computer."

Can anyone give me detialed instructions on how to do a clean install of XP on my pc an remove everything else?

Thanks
