I deleted some programs to help speed my computer up. After I finished this process I went to put my laptop on Standby, I noticed that the Standby icon was not active. I could still see it but was not able to select it. I can still click on the Turn Off and Restart icons but not the Standby.

Can anyone tell me how to get back the Stanby Icon please?

You've deleted the chipset drivers for your laptop motherboard.

Just look on the manufacture website for the right model, and the chipset drivers should be easy to find.
