| To summarise: Virtual Memory is where a section of your hard disk is used as RAM. This happens when your RAM is maxing out. It is a sign that there are too many processes running or you simply dont have enough RAM. You find it in the control panel, in system, in advanced tab, in settings for startup and recovery. It is recommended at about 1.5 times your amount of RAM. If you need to increase you pagefile then you should look at what resources are hogging your memory. Perhaps you end a few of these or indeed stop them from starting automatically at startup |
