well im having problems i wiped ubuntu but it left grub so i need to install the windows bootloader to get to windows how can i do this?

Boot from your install CD or a floppy, choose the Repair option, run Recovery Console, type FIXMBR and the Windows bootloader will be installed.

Also doing a new installation of windows reinstalls the bootloader.

Ah, sorry. I thought you were talking about XP.

That site seems to have good information on it. I would have thought that uploading the boot sections of the Vista DVD would have been against the T and Cs though Useful find anyway for Vista problems in general.

I know you have sorted out your problem now, but just wondered if you are aware of or have used VistaBootPro

I use this all the time for dual boot set ups and it works very well ..... and it's FREE

It's dead simple to use, works in all Windows OS's, allows you to change the default OS, set a countdown etc. ..... very useable.
