Default Help!!Understanding System Restore

Hi

I was wanting help in understanding System Restore. I know that if you do system restore and put it on a cd you put your computer back to it's orignal point. Is that true?

Can somebody help me first understand System Resote and also tell me how to do it. I would really appreciate it. Thhank You
