Hi,

A while ago I had the option to hibernate the computer. Nowadays, this option disappeared. In fact, even the standby option (when click the turn off button) is greyed out.
I have tried the "powercfg -h on" switch and no success. I'm also missing the hibernation tab in Power options. I have tried to uninstall various software (nero, zonealarm, norton antivirus, nokia pc suite etc.) but to no avail.
No drivers issues (no yellow or red signs).

Windows XP, SP3 with updated drivers.
Gigabyte 965P-DS3 (rev. 2)
4 gb RAM
Sapphire ATI HD4850
Intel Ham modem (which I also tried to remove, but still no success)
TV card (I can't remember the brand, but which I also removed - but no effect).

Is there any software/script I can use to detect what's causing this error? Do you have any suggestions/tips?

Thanks,
