change the boot order from BIOS and make the first boot device the DVD +- Rw (or CD)drivetake a bootable win XP CDinsert it in the DVD +- Rw driveboot from the CDformat the unit on which you have installed Vista and install WinXP on itthat's allP.S. don't forget to reinstall the drivers for your laptop

You have to erase your harddrive and then install XP kinda like when you would switch from Millenium to XP or if you know mac then Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X(10)
