Hello,

How can I set up a shared folder between my desktop with XP and my laptop with Vista? They share the same router. I tried to go by the stickie in this board, but when I tried to make the Network setup floppy disk using the XP computer, I got the error message "Cannot copy netsetup: No ID address mark was found on the floppy disk."

Thanks

Ah, I can't remember exactly how to do this, but I think this is it.

Right click your folder, go to Sharing, hit Share this Folder on the Network, type in a name, hit allow others on network to change files. Check the network name of this computer. Go to the other computer on your network, go to My Computer, hit Tools -> Map Network Drive. Select the drive letter you want, then type in \\X\Y, and hit Finish, where X is the name of the computer on the network and Y is the NETWORK name of the folder (that you put in the Share this Folder on the Network box).

IIRC that's the way to do it.
