Couple of weeks ago I installed XP on my Vista computer (what a mistake!!). Well I lost all my drivers and now my computer is really slow. But I noticed I still got Vista files that I installed back when I had just Vista on my computer. Does this mean I still have Vista some where on my computer and I go back to Vista or what?

How do you know you still have Vista files on the PC? How do they stand out?

I can go to my computer and I see the folder program files (x86) or something like that. I'm on another computer atm.

Well that doesn't mean anything, x86 means 32Bit and could be linked to any OS or even a bit of software.
When you install XP you normally format, so it's unlikely Vista was left, either way you cannot roll back. I would back up anything important, stick in your Vista DVD and do a full format then install. |

Of course my computer didn't come with any discs. So I'm going to have to go buy Vista I suppose. When I installed XP why didn't it delete all the files I had on before? If it did why is my computer really slow now?

Your PC is probably slow as you have not set it up correct, did you install all your drivers?
Vista would have been deleted if you did a full format, so if it is left on there it is down to you. You could also run the XP install again, this time delete any partitions, then add them again, then FULL NTFS format. After go into device manager and check what drivers are missing, get them from your manufacturers website and install them. |

I only installed the motherboard drivers and my network drivers. I guess I'll have to try and install XP again. Thanks!
