| im selling my laptop and i need to reformat it. i already used a CD key more than 3 times so i dont think its valid any more. how do i reformat it without having to reinstall everything?

If you just want to format and sell it clean a Windows CD will get to the partition/format bit without a key. If you are needed to re-install so the PC has an OS on it for the new owned the key should work, if it doesn't a quick call to Microsoft will sort that. My System: Hybr!d

| i have my old XP OEM CD. can i use that to reformat without having to use the CD key again?
