Default How do I stop these processes from running?

They are NOT in msconfig's startup.

They don't appear right when the computer starts up, but like 10 minutes later or so.

DISCover.exe
DiscStreamHub.exe
DISCUpdMgr.exe
iPodService.exe (I realize this one I probably won't be able to stop from starting up. thanks iTunes XD )

you could always give revo unistaller a try:
http://www.revouninstaller.com/

Go to hunter mode and drag the cursor over what you want to stop auto starting, and let go off the left mouse button and thne click on stop auto starting and it should stop it auto starting.Though some prgrams i tried it with won`t stop auto starting.

To stop a service and set to 'disabled'

Click Start > Run and type in: services.msc
Click OK
In the Services window find the service:
Select/highlight and right click the entry, and choose: Properties
On the General tab, under Service Status click the Stop button
Beside: Startup Type, in the drop menu, select: Disabled
Click Apply, then OK

you just gave me an idea of how to stop some viruses!
create an automation script that runs on start up ( has a tiny foot print) and basically stops any of the known virus/ malware processes running !

That works for stopping the process, but what about fixing the damage and destroying the rest of the junk that usually accompanies a virus/trojan.....

----------

Install StartUp Tool

Open the tool and right click anything you no longer want to run at startup then choose Remove.

You can also look at StartUp Lite. It automatically detects startups that are not required to run.
