| I cant install Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic x64Bit OEM 1pk DVD in my pc as it just doesnt regester the disk as there and doesnt install |

| have you checked the disk to make sure its not damaged or a little dirty? Is it a computer that you built yourself - have you double checked the connections? Do other disks work in the drive? Have you tried seeing if the disk registers on a drive in another computer?

Could also be dust in the drive. You could try giving the drive lens a quick wipe with a cotton wool bud. My System: The Elephant
