Okay, i recently had my computer reset completely.. but now, the keyboard is.. well, 'topsy turvy'.. so to speak.
If i press shift and then the key to get the @ sign, it does one of these: " instead. So to get an @ i have to press shift and the '2' key (which should give ") instead. And also, if i press the key to get the # sign, i get a \ instead, and at the moment, i haven't found out what other button will give me the sign i want. If i press shift and that key to get a ~ ... instead i get a | .. and to get a ~ i have to press shift and that key underneath escape, with the 3 different small signs on. ...there are loads of these things.. its all messed up.. and it does it one my mothers Laptop too. Any idea how i can sort this? Cheers, Aden |

It's because your keyboard is set to USA not UK.

If you are running Windows XP go into start/settings/control panel.
Then click (or double click) Regional and Language options icon. Change all options to English (United Kingdom). |
