So here is my problem; I needed to set up a home directory for all my users (very thing else is all ready set up) but one user needs to be able to see all of the home directorys (admin user) but I do not know how to set this up so far each user can only see their own home directory.

Now I have changed the permission for the admin user to give full control to the parent folder where the home directory and being stored other than that I’m stumped.

So can anyone out there help me!!

Is this Active Directory?

Have you got roaming profiles, or folder redirection?

Are you familiar with group policy?

I am of course assuming this is Server 2003 / 2008.

Basically I am saying we need WAY more information.

Default I need to set up a home directory for all my users

Thanks for getting back to me serverguy.

Ok here is my whole setup; I have 4 servers all running on windows server 2003 with SP1. I need the servers to run active directory (this server also has my DNS and DHCP installed on it), file server, web server, print server.

All of the servers are set up and running and they are all part of the same domain. I have already setup my home directory for all my users and they work (I am using roaming profiles) but as I said in my last post I need a user to be able to see all of the other users home directories.

I have not been show what folder redirection is (so I will say no to that one) and I know what group policies but have not used them with servers.

Don’t know what else to say other than before I started doing this project I had not been show how to set up a home directory that’s why I am finding it so hard.
