I need 2000 pro and XP pro to help with my Advent MCSE course.

I currently have 2 desk-tops both running XP home.

Can anyone suggest a cheap! and easy way of getting hold of the pro versions I need?

Many thanks

Do you qualify for M$ Student software ?

XP Pro Upgrade and Vista Ultimate Upgrades are available .... not sure about W200 though.

Phil

Many thanks for the advice.

As I'm 39 years old, I was doubtful I'd get student rates but when I entered Advent as my school/college I was pleasantly surprised to see it on the list!

XP pro upgarde purchased for £57. Just need 2000 pro now.
I suppose an old business pc might have it on if I could get hold of one?

Thanks again.

You're welcome.

This might be worth a bid .... looks like an OEM version to me

Thanks for the link to Ebay!
Looks perfect and the price is nice too!

However, is that a full version or does it need an older version of Windows to install on top of?

Can you tell from the picture? Someone else has asked a similar question but I don't think the seller has made it clear in their answer.

Thanks again.

It doesn't look as though it's an Upgrade Disk, but if it were, that shouldn't be a problem, providing you have an old W95 or W98 Disk, as it will simply ask for a qualifying product disk to be inserted, during a "Clean" installation.

I think what you are proposing might be against forum rules ..... you might want to rethink this

That wont work I'm afraid, as the key will be for an OEM version of XP Pro and will not work with other versions.
Also I am sure that would be in breach of the M$ eula.
