I have recently discovered that my cd drive on my laptop is now dead. I am in need of a reformat but I don;t know how I can directly boot a copy of my windows iso so I can install from it...

Is there a way to create a seperate partition for the ISO and get GRUB to boot it?

Any other solutions are welcome.

i think that you would need to extract the iso first and then boot it with grub boot loader. but cd drives are so cheap it would be easier to just buy one.
