Default Install XP without CD or FLOPPY

Hi, I currently have Windows XP Pro on my PC, I got a second hard drive in my PC which Id like to put XP Home onto, I have a copy of Home but it isnt bootable. When I put the CD in it wont let me go threw the installation as its not possible to downgrade so to speak, Is there a way I could copy the files onto the 2nd hardrive and get them to boot up? I have no floppy etc, Any ideas would be great! Thanks! Scott.

No.

You need to boot from an XP CD or get say Win200 on the system then run the XP install from there.

Why would you want to?

That would be downgrading.

Perhaps to run legacy programs or other programs that run best in a 98 environment.

Not legally.

And I won't discuss or help you to do it any illegal way

But if possible you could put it into a new PC and install it then remove it and put into the one you want it in.

You could also create a partition on the Primary HDD and install it there - or have it on a "Virtual PC" or emulator.

But I don't understand why you want to dual boot 2 versions of XP?
