Hey Guys heres my problem. I'm working on a gateway model GT5238E tahtwasbought at a rummage sale with no software. It would boot but crashed right away. No virus software installed, when will people learn. ran several spyware and virus programs and restart. the last time virus program only foud 2 then removed. whenrestarted it loaded thedesktop with 5 users (that hadn't been there before) all pasword protected,no password had ever been used before. Now i'm locked out, passwork hack can't even find any. Now reinstall time. Gateway specs show installed orginally with XPMCE 2005. I borrowed form a coworker, the hard drive is SATA which is where the problem is. I have always had MB disc in the past when installing SATA drives. The MB is labeled Intel E210882, found drivers for this MB and started with F6. It gets to a point and ask for Intel Matrix Storage driver, I have downloaded several but all are .exe programs and not the driver and I guess it can't find it. The bios calls the MB aDG965LV.No listing of the board anywhere. I find a DG965 with several other ending letters but not LV. How can I finish a new install without this driver.
Thanks Guys.
