Default Locked out of Windows Vista

When I load up my laptop and it comes up with the windows password screen.It tells me it's locked so can't get to type in my password. How do I get around it.

Did you try starting in safe mode, then going into User Account and changing it from there?
I'm am not that familiar with Vista yet but that is how I would have done it in XP
