How do I get rid of Mirascan V3.30? I have tried to remove it by the Add/Remove Programs function and get an error that reads "Internal Error, unable to continue uninstall process." When I use the Windows install Cleanup Utility it does not even find the program listed in the programs on the computer so that is useless to me as well. I suspect the issue is that it is tucked away in the registry someplace but don't know where to look. Anyone know how to get rid of this from my system?

You have to have Adminstrator's rights to remove some keys, this maybe the reason you can not uninstall the program?

You are aware that poking around in the registry can cause your computer to crash, act erratically, or not start?

Before doing any thing drastic I suggest you try uninstalling the program from the Safe Mode.

If you can't get it to uninstall in Safe Mode then you could do a search and delete on the registry.

But before you do I strongly suggest you back up your data and the registry.

If you have any questions about the registry ask, better to ask before than try to fix the after. :)

Once you have the regedit open do a find on Mirascan, you don't have to take out all the associations just the main area that should be in the Current_Users/Software and Local_Machine/Software.

When you remove the main keys then all the other keys associated with them should drop out on the next restart.

You can go back and check that the did by doing the search again.

Hope this helps...
