The other day my computer seemed to change the way all the windows such as my computer etc were viewed. The bar down the side with System Tasks etc has dissapeared. Below is a screenshot of my My Computer and one of how it used to look from Google Images.

Does anyone know how to get this back?...

When "My Computer" is open click "View" and select which option you would like to see the icons as.

Try the menu bar.

'View' in particular will probably have some options to change it.

My Vista does, but cannot remember on XP.

Doesn't work. I dont mind if the icons are big, thumbnails etc etc , nor do I care if they are viewed in groups, I know how to do all that, I asked how to view the bar down the side like in the bottom picture.

Anyone know?!

worked it out, it was in Folder Options, had to unselect classic view
