Hi, I am a newbie on here so bear with me.
I am in desparate need of some help. Recently my computer came up with the blue screen of death. I couldn't do a thing with it, not even get to safe mode. Anyway with a complete windows xp genuine disc I managed to re-load, but it is now back to factory settings, (everything I had has vanished, omg) problem I am having now is that it is missing some vital drivers, in the hardware device I have about half a dozen yellow exclamation marks against things:-

ethernet controller
pci device
sm bus controller
video controller
video controller (vga compatible)

SYSTEM:-
Dell Dimension 5150 Desktop, windows xp
Intel, Pentium 4
CPU 3.20 Ghz
3.19 Ghz
512mb of Ram

I can't get internet connection, (with virgin cable) the operators went through all checks and said that drivers are missing and couldnt help would need expert help.
(originally it was belkin usb wireless that caused corruption).

I am connected via another computer so at least I can now get some expert help.

ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT TO DO, was told to go onto dell website to get the drivers but I cant download from the computer in questions, and don't know if possible to do it from this one and transfer over.
PLEASE HELP: many thanks in advance

When Dell supplied you the machine they will have supplied driver discs, you can also get drivers via the web and transfer the over or even call Dell and I'm sure they will send you them.

As I said you need the Dell specific drivers for your model of PC, so the driver CD or a driver download is essential.

ok I am being a totally novice here. I know I need for my model I have found out my service tag, and the drivers on the dell website, problem is how to get them from one computer to the one in question. I have to be honest I am a real novice at things. I know certain things, but wouldn't say a great deal like you guys!

Download them on the PC with Internet, then burn them to CD or put them on an external hard drive/memory stick.
