Default Ms-dos Application Being Saved Under My File Names

Hello,

My computer is behaving bizarrely.
Everytime I delete a file whether it be 4 kilobytes or 100 megabites - it takes forever for the delete process to run itself through. I started thinking that maybe everytime I delete the files are being uploaded to somebody.

Also, some of my normal doc or rtf files are showing up as MS-DOS applications.

Any thoughts?

Thanks much.
