I am still having issues opening certain picture folders. I sent this thread before and got a response to check for malware, clean up junk , etc. I tried that but i am still having issues. It takes forever to open only certain picture folders. The majority of them are fine. What happens is i double click and it just sits and waits for sometimes up to 3 minites till it opens. It is on the local machine, etc. I open other folders same location and same amount of pictures and its fine. I try opening it from other computers on the netowkr and it opens fast. Wierd huh? Now i tried creating a new folder and then moving over the pictures but no luck. Any other help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Are the pictures taken with the same digital camera?

The reason why I ask, is because the DPI and resolution of the pictures may vary. This can cause increased or decreased load times.

Some things you could do....

Close any programs you don't need running.

Clean up the system tray.

I would defragment your hard drive. This helps increase load time.

Finally, upgrade your machine!
