Default Nag, nag, nag. Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications keeps nagging!

Beginning a few months ago, I started to get the "Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications" upload notice. I read about it, stuck out my tongue, and ignored every single time. Now it's coming a little more frequently. Nag, nag.

Yes, I see all over the net how to disable it. But I see nothing on not downloading it in the first place. SO.....if I continue to say no to it, will Microsoft just narrow in more and more to notify me, until I'm getting every single second?? Has anyone else chosen over and over to ignore it? Is it futile? Should I download it and THEN get rid of it? I DESPISE the reason it exists. I don't think I even have a pirated copy. I just despise it the reason it exists.

You either do or don't have a legitimate copy.

Pretty simple, validate windows and the notifications go away.

It is also for office products.........

My windows came with my computer according to the store where I bought it. I just don't like the idea of Windows having their own form of spyware.

If you are that worried about being spied on then the internet is the last place you should be.

Or .... seek out one of the AntiWGA programs .... then you can let some script kiddie spy on you instead.
Given the choice between the two, I think M$ might be safer

there are ways to disable the nag, i just found a few ways, but all the links have been removed due to complaints from Microsoft so my guess is, is that its not smiled upon.

and as seen as this thread aint going anywhere either accept it, ring Microsoft or do abit of surfing elsewhere

i don't like to not give advice, but this seems a dodgey topic
