Someone please help. I installed a new 320 gb hard drive in my pc and cloned my windows xp OS from my 80 gb using drive image. I verified that the clone was succesful by removing the 80gb and made the 320gb the primary drive. The OS booted up just fine and was working great so I put the 80gb back in and made it the slave drive. The system came back up so I went into disk management to format the 80gb but it wouldn't let me because it said files were in use. So I used partition manager and formatted and deleted the Active partition on the 80gb drive. When I restarted the computer it said that NTLDR was missing so I used the xp recovery cd and did a repair copied "copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\ & e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\". Restarted the computer and now it's saying windows\system32\hal.dll is corrupted or missing. Someone please help. What did I do and what should I do next??

your shure that the 80 gb is set to slave? try disconnecting the 80gb and see if this works and if it does try connecting the 80 gb only and use something like dban to completely wipe it and see what happenes
