I don't know if this is in the good forum, anyway.
I am currently installing windows xp on my other computer. But now i am stuck at the activation code. Not gonna lie, it's a hacked version of xp.
Since i can't get an activation code, i want to cancel the installation, start over, you know. But everytime i open my computer, it goes directly to the setup. SO how can i cancel the installation. TY very much, sorry for being a noob.

Use DBAN to reformat the HDD, and next time use the Win7 RC which is legal if you want a "free OS" .

Set your boot order to have the CD-ROM drive first, then the hard drive.

If you set the boot order in BIOS to CD-ROM first, and then reboot with a setup disk in the CD_ROM drive. It will then automatically give you the option "to boot from CD, press any key." Press any key and you'll boot to the CD, which will be an installation of whatever setup disk you inserted in the CD-ROM drive. It doesn't matter what's on your HDD or if you even have a HDD for that matter. Then' you can reformat and reinstall from the CD.
