Kind of a misleading title, but not entirely. heres my problem. New build, quad-core cpu, 4gb ram etc. I have a DSL connection that averages 6.4mbps. Plenty fast enough interent speed. A bit above the national average. My problem is this: why in the heck does it take IE7 or FM to load up? Once on, lets say I go to Youtube and wanna watch a video. It plays for a few seconds, then pauses while it tries to buffer. I backspace and come back to Youtube and its all of the sudden buffered in full. Another example: I go to my email account, it takes forever to load the site page or to open an email. Heck for that matter, IE7 takes a few moments to load up. What causes all these delays? Everytime I run a connection speed test, ita lways shows over 6mbps. Ive been anothe PC running at the same speed and when I click on IE7, it pops up instantly, no problems. So, what have I done wrong in my new build that is causing this problem? Thanx!

This doesn't sound like a hardware issue at all. If all drivers are installed then you need to install a different browser, check the router, etc to troubleshoot.

What do you mean by "checking the router"? Ive run numorous connection tests and always have a 6-6.5mbps connection. I guess I mispoke when I asked the question. What I meant to say was, after building my new PC, what could I have done wrong in software settings or what could possibly be the problem in my IE7 & FFM broswers that cause the issue Im experiencing?

OK, Ive disconnected my router & run straight modem connection and nothing has changed. This tells me that its something, or a setting in the broswer that is causing this issue. I just dont know what. Any ides or suggestions would be awesome.
