When I replaced the motherboard and processor windows said I had 3 days to activate. when I tried to activate, it told me I could not activate again. so, I called the toll free activation phone number and was told a new product key to type into the boxes on the screen which reactivated the OS just fine. I have this same product key on my other pc and was wondering, if I have problems and have to do a full reinstall, will the new product key work on this pc? The lady asked me on the phone if I had the same OS on another pc and I was not sure if That was allowed so, I said no. will I have problems reinstalling the same OS on it again? or will the new key also, work on it? I used to know where to find the product key in the registry but, forgot how to find it and, I didn't get a chance to write it down quick enough. anyone remember the steps to find it in the registry? Thanks!
