when i start up windows in my pc it tells me "NLTDR IS MISSING" why would i b getting this massage, wat is nltdr, is it fixable? thanx

You will need a Windows CD that matches the current version installed on your PC and your licence number.

Boot from the CD and select the second repair option.

When it says: "NTLDR IS MISSING", there is nothing to boot from. The computer is looking on the hard drives, etc and it cant find an OS, eg, XP, Vista, 98.

The causes:
The computer might not have a hard drive.
The hard drive is blank.
Somone has messed up the boot data in bios.

Solutions:
1) Verify bios settings are correct, make sure that at some stage in boot, the computer looks at the hard drive for OS in its boot order.

2) If it does have a hard drive, then its blank. You need to config bios to boot from cd, insert OS installation disk and install an OS. - problem solved.

i did the recovery but then it asked me fr some kind of administrator password wich i never had put one so i didnt know wat 2 do. i now restarted the pc & went t the bios made it boot from the cd and nt frm the floppy, and noim installing a fresh copy of windows. ill let yall know how it gose when its done.

ok every thing is up and running i innstaled the video drivers, restared and every thing is running smoth. hope it stays like this,lol thanks guys.

the admin password by default is nothing, just press enter and you should get past it.
