Hi,

Can any 1 tell me i should do, my desk top says this and wont boot NTLDER IS COMPRESSED, my xp was pre installed on my hard drive and i was trying to find a hot key to reset it to factory ettings but cant.

E.S SYSTEMS
EI 204 UK
512MB RAM
WINDOWS XP HOME SP2

Hello Ant. :)

To repair your install Windows, you will need your Windows XP disc. Please install and boot into Recovery Console using the instructions from here. It will prompt you for the Administrator password of your installation of Windows. Enter so and type in the following command.

attrib -c ntldr

Next type exit and the computer will reboot itself. You should now be able to boot into Windows. Let us know if it helps or not. Good Luck.
