Hello everyone,
I have a old PII 400mhz notebook that work fine with 98 but I got a copy of xp stripped down and installed it. Notebook runs very fast with only one little problem,my pcmcia slot is not recognized.I have loaded all the drivers I could think of.The devive ...

Hello everyone,
I have a old PII 400mhz notebook that work fine with 98 but I got a copy of xp stripped down and installed it. Notebook runs very fast with only one little problem,my pcmcia slot is not recognized.I have loaded all the drivers I could think of.The devive manager had some ! but loadeing varies drivers I have eliminated all but the floppy !.But the device manager does not show pcmcia port.This port worked fine with 98 and 2000. but with xp no luck any idea how I can get xp to see this port.Thanks |

There maybe a possibility that the device is not compatible with XP.
I would check the Hardware Compatibility List, or HCL, on Microsoft's website to see if your PMCIA slot is compatible with XP. What entries are shown in the device manager? |
