hey im using windows xp pro SP3

when i try to open ANY file via right clicking and then clicking 'Open With' i get this error message "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. create an association in the folder options control panel"

when i right click a file and click properties i can change when the file opens with.

for example when i try to 'open with' a .pub file i get that error.


any suggestions?

So, Control Panel (classical view), then Folder Options and use the File Types tab to search for PUB. You may be able to put back the original association by clicking a button. Alternatively, browse for the associated program and call the action Open.
