Hi. I recently added another Windows XP Home to another hard drive I've bought ready for if a failure of the main drive happens. I've taken the new hard drive out of the computer but when I see the POST screen it says I've got two operating systems of Windows XP Home and which one do I want to use? I want to get rid of this message and let the computer boot up with no errors. I can only boot one of the OS's anyway because the other one is on a hard drive sitting in a cupboard. Any thoughts on this?

All ok now. I seem to remember this boot.ini file was read only. As I've come across a similar problem before, obviously it's not because your procedure worked. Thanks so much you don't realize how much that was annoying me.
