Default Partition problem, windows wont partition

I have "Allocated space" and i want to bring it together with my C Partition, but when i get on Partition Magic and click merge, it says THERE IS NO PARTITIONS THAT CAN BE MERGED. so i go to resize, maybe that will work, ok so i decide which i want to resize, works fine, until i click OK, then it says something about some error...

im using UB CD, so does this have an effect.
im not going to waste money on a program just to partition a drive one time. any sollution?

You may have got more response, if you had added some screen shots from Partition Magic, showing the Partitions etc.

Did the restore help you to merge your partitions ?
