Default Partitoning drive need help

ok i couldnt find this...i know there is a guide but the guide doesnt answer this question.....for dual booting..i have xp and i want vista..ok i tried looking at the guide on here...but when i make the 2nd partition should it be logical or primary...should both br primary or does it not matter

Use primary partitions. Logical partitions are all but useless these days.

What are you using to partition the drive?
