Hi,

My PC cuts out at every time I turn it on? When it restarts I get 5 options but whatever one I select it just restarts itself and comes back to the same screen??

Anyone got any ideas to how I can fix this??

Thanks A quick reply would be great :)

Define 'cuts out'

What does it exacly do or not do.

Do you see anything on the screen at all?

Simple fix.

You need to dig out your windows XP disc, boot up from it and run the repair.

I take it you are running XP and have a disc?

OK,

Put the CD in and restart your PC.

You should see a message that says 'press any-key to boot from CD'

Do so and wait for setup to load.

Then skip the first repair option then press F8 accept the licence agreement and wait.

Once setup has scanned for your hardrives it will offer a second repair option.

Do this.

All data will remain the same just the corrupt files will be replaced.

Be careful not to do a format or delete a partition, you will lose everything.

Okay thanks. I did put this disk in today. I got three opitions,

1: Reinstalll windows?
2: Repair windows
3: Exit without doing anything.

Thats not exactly what it said but something along those lines.

I selected Repair windows and it open up command prompt. Is this right and if so what do I do from there?

You choose 1-reinstall windows, then follow the options, as you get to the last part it will give you a second option to repair.
