HI,
my computer has 5 user accounts, and since 2 weeks ago, whenever i change of user account (leaving my user account running) and i try to open another one, the computer freezes, and when it is able to open the other user account and i try log it off, afterwards, also the computer freezes.
the same thing happens when you log into any account from those 5 that i have in my computer, except my account, which i can log on and off without any problem.
I have installed a registry healer, but to be honest I do not trust very much those applications, nevertheless i runned te application and as always, it found a lot of registry error messages, and eventually they were fixed.
but the problem still continues.
please help me to solve this problem
cheers

my computer is
windows xp sp2
1gb ram
80 hard disk
2.66 ghz
pentium 4
integrated video card of 90 mb

thank you

yes I have done that, but still why should i remove any program if actually I never had this problem before, and also the computer should hold those programs without any problem
i know pentium 4 is old, but it still defends itself a lot........... whenever i restart my computer it boots really fast.
is there any other solution besides uninstalling usefull programs?

cheers

Did you run CCleaner in all User Profiles?

If not that then the next step would be to check for spyware/malware.

ccleaner, i had really, but really, bad experiences with that tool, since it erases stuff that your computer actually need on the registry

but the answer for this question is yes

You could try Start > Run > type sfc /scannow > click OK < Note the space between sfc and /

As I suspected it would not find anything.

Without any actual error messages it is likely a cluttered disk (which you have cleaned) or a failing HDD. (unlikely)

Have you tried any spyware/malware scans?
