Default Problem using Rescue disk.

Hi,

I have just recently updated my computer with new hardware to run battlefield 2 see my other thread regarding that problem. What I am trying to do in to try rectifiying the problem with wiping the harddrive and starting afresh. What I was going to do is use the rescue disk that came with my computer in the manual it states put disk in boot up and it should run automatically but it does not. I can access the disk through mycomputer and open the disk get drivers off etc but not initiate recovery program any ideas. One thing I can think of that may help is the hard drive was replaced last year and the opperating system was put on by a firm. I need the operating system on the disk how do I get about that.

Default Problem using Rescue disk.

To run the rescue disk you need to enter the BIOS and set the PC to boot from CD.

It will probably wipe the hard disk though.

You cannot get the current OS off your hard disk.
