Hello, I have recently had some problems with my xp pro sp2. I opened up the case of computer, and checked the RAM, so I know what type of RAM to buy. I have already taken it out and put it back in, but I just did this the other day and when I boot windows, it says something like this 'Windows Cannot boot due to hardware or software change'. I haven't changed the RAM, I just took it out and put it back in.
I choose "Start Windows Normally" and then it reboots the computer and comes with the same message. I tried it various times but keeps coming up with the same message. ALSO, I have not touched anything else apart from the RAM.

Can anyone help me?

make sure you have clipped the ram back in properly and also did you ground yourself before you opened your computer?

to make sure there is no static electricity in you before you touch the computer parts. Static electricity and computer parts don't mix, like electricity and water. :)

Sure you do not have the RAM plugged into another slot?
