Good afternoon,

I have recently purchased a new Toshiba laptop and decided to install vista fresh with out all of toshiba's rubbish! that was pre installed. I have done this on laptops and PC's for years but have got stuck this time round. I have managed to format the partition and install vista but stops during the 'complete installation' section. The hard drive light makes the odd flash but the progress bar does not move. I have even tried another vista disc but still happens . Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Might be a hard drive error.

Install again this time completely deleting the partition, then adding it, then a FULL format.

That will rebuild the drive fully.
