Default Programs Pre Installed With my Laptop? Which do I actually need...

Hello! :)

Right, so. I bought a Sony VAIO CR series laptop a while ago (September 07) and when I booted it up there was, obviously, a load of crap under the Programs dialog that I don't use manually.

I'm basically looking to clean up the laptop and uninstall any unecessary programs/files that are on it so I can kind of strip it down so that it will run better and so I can generally be more organised with it (I'm a bit of a control freak).

I've attached a print screen of all the programs and was wondering if you can tell just by that if there's anything that i could safely just uninstall? And if there's any files afterwards that I'd need to go and delete manually?

Thanks for your help :)

(anything after and including SimCity 4 is fine)

Thanks but that doesn't list any of the programs that I was asking about :/

It's basically just all of the programs where the name starts with VAIO, there are a bunch of services as well with the same names..

Just leave them in place. You are almost certainly benefiting from several of them - power management, battery management etc. They certainly aren't doing you any harm, and many take up very little space.

Are you familair with the phrase if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.
