The computer randomly restarts every 36-48 hours or so. The Blue Screen of Death has the code 0x0000008E (0xc000009A 0x80519920 0xB74687E0). I checked the event viewer and it says
"The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected error '0xc000009A' while processing the file " on the volume 'BlockVolume1'. It has stopped monitoring the volume." I disabled auto restart. I have used registry mechanic because I first suspected it was because I installed kaspersky over an older version incorrectly, but the problem persisted. I searched for this problem, but no one seems to have the same problem of having the computer restart almost at the same time window of 36-48 hours. Windows XP Professional Windows Updates are up to date Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. |

Have you flushed System Restore? It may be that it starts the operation and runs out of space?

Still the same problem occurs, the thing I hate about this is that I'd have to wait 2 days to see if it restarts by itself, which is a heck of a long time to wait to see if my "solution" worked.
