Default Re-installing Windows - Key Problem

As Phil says the legal position is a grey area, and gets kinda squiffy, but as far as I know, and I will say that this is not solid confirmed info from M$ so don't try and pin any blameon me, I'll accept no responsibility - but, I think as long as you legally own a valid copy of something, you are within your rights as a consumer to back that up for your own use, providing you payed for it and it is only you who is using it, the same goes for downloading as far as I know.

Don't quote me on it, and I'll discuss it no further, that's just wat I've been told and the general impression I get.
