Ok, I do stupid things. And just did again while trying to install Vista.
I have a pc with two HDDs. One is made of two HDDs RAID'd into a single drive and partitioned into 5 sections (C thru G). The second is stand alone (drive H).
I ran WET and sent that file to the stand alone drive. I then set my boot priority to the DVD, inserted the Vista DVD, and re-booted.
The plan was to delete all the partitions on the RAID, load Vista, and move the data from the solo drive over.
Well, the top of the list during install was, you guessed it, the solo drive. I had already clicked the 'yes, I know all data will be deleted' before I realized it; but I immediatly canceled the install. I then disconnected that drive and proceeded with the install.
Now, I have this drive that windows can't read, but I feel it must still have the data on there.
Is there any way to retrieve it?
Thanks
