My hardrive crashed. I have an Acer 5000. Took it to "Computer Heaven", had a new hard drive put in and they told me it would be a breeze to reinstall my system CD's that came with my computer and avoid paying another 200.00
I have tried this process a couple of times and when it gets to a certain point, it says that it is unable to find some particular file. Is there help for me? I shut it off and would have to start over.

Doesn't it give you an option to "retry" and find the file? Sounds like you have a bad cd/ copy of windows.

I have windows cd like this and sometimes if I retry it finds the needed file.
